Project Manager - Business Applications (SDLC)
55-65,000 Per Annum + Permanent Benefits
Flexible working - 2x a week (West Sussex)
Job Summary:
An established organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of business applications, with a strong focus on implementing third-party SaaS solutions across various business functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and a proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle - from initiation and planning through to execution and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a vital role in the planning and delivery of business-critical application projects, with a focus on third-party SaaS solutions.
  • Manage full project life-cycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Architects, Technical Leads, and vendors.
  • Define and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, time-lines, resources, budgets, and risks.
  • Ensure alignment of project objectives with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Drive effective communication and coordination across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques; report on status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project governance, including steering committees and status meetings, and with 3rd party engagement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering business applications.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and application delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering third-party/SaaS applications into business environments.
  • Experience managing cross-functional project teams including BAs, Architects, and Technical Delivery Teams.
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) is a plus.
  • Experience in delivering SaaS solutions in functional areas such as Finance, HR, Procurement, Customer.
