We are looking for a Project Officer to start as soon as possible on a Fixed Term Contract until March 2025 with the possibility of extension. You will be working on selective projects and will have a focus on building professional networks aimed at raising awareness for the elderly. Our client can offer a competitive salary of \xc2\xa329,641 per annum Benefits
  • 26 days annual leave including 8 Bank Holidays and 3.5 office closure days.

  • After probationary period, matched employer contribution up to maximum of 5% of salary
Day to Day Duties
  • Creating of resources, including reports, promotional materials, and information leaflets to improve the experiences and outcomes of older carers and carers of people with dementia
  • Planning and delivering online and in person Community of Practice sessions focussed on carers of people with dementia
  • Managing relationships with professionals within and outside of the community of practice to identify and act upon opportunities to improve the experiences of carers of people with dementia
  • Contributing the voice of unpaid carers within health and social care spaces to improve professional practice relating to carers of older people and people with dementia
  • Organising events and supporting the delivery of external engagement events
  • Working with a UK-wide team to support the adaptation of resources relating to young carers for use in Wales.
Essential Skills
  • The post holder will need to be able to travel in a time and cost-effective manner to meetings across Wales and occasionally across the UK for relevant Carers Trust meetings.
  • Working with external colleagues and stakeholders, particularly health and social care professionals
  • Leading and facilitating meetings to generate discussions and actions
  • Creation of strong written resources including informational leaflets
  • Notetaking and communication following meetings
Desirable Experience
  • Working within the third sector, or other relevant industry such as health/social care
  • Proficient Welsh language skills, with the ability to draft, edit and proofread Welsh language copy
  • Use of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel Powerpoint
