About the role
This is a key role within Ecosulis' Nature Recovery team, supporting the delivery of nature recovery projects across the UK for a range of public and private clients. The role contributes to the restoration and recovery of diverse habitats, helping to deliver measurable outcomes for nature.
You will support a broad range of activities, from developing vision strategies and management plans to assisting with practical habitat restoration and rewilding works. Working closely with Project Managers and the wider team, you will assist with project planning, fieldwork, data collection, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, with opportunities to take ownership of smaller projects as your experience grows.

Location: This is a UK based remote role; however it will involve some travel to site, client meetings and management meetings as needed.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Contribute to the delivery of a broad range of projects across the UK as part of the Nature Recover Team, supporting the achievement of positive outcomes for nature.
Undertake fieldwork, including habitat, species and specialist ecological surveys, in line with relevant best-practise guidelines
Produce a range of written ecological reports and technical documentation for different audiences
Manage, analyse and interpret ecological and environmental data, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Support the preparation of tenders, proposals and bids for new work.
Support Project Managers with delivery, with the opportunity to lead on smaller projects or work packages as experience develops.
Undertake spatial mapping and analysis using GIS software.
Contribute to the design, coordination and oversight of practical habitat creation and enhancement works, working with project managers, contractors, and land managers.
About you
You will be able to work effectively to both independently and as part of a team, while having good attention to detail, time management and being a well organised individual. Having a good foundation knowledge of rewilding, conservation and ecology will lead you to be able to contribute to the success of the Project Delivery team.
Experience and Skills
Essential
At least 2 years' experience working on nature recovery, ecological or environmental projects in consultancy, the public sector, an NGO or a related sector
Sound ecological knowledge, including an understanding of natural process-led restoration and rewilding practices
Experience of habitat survey, particularly UKHab, with good botanical identification skills.
Experience producing written reports and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
Understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and experience using the Statutory Biodiversity Metric.
Good working knowledge of GIS software (e.g. QGIS).
Understanding of good practice in ecological monitoring and data collection.
Experience working across multiple concurrent projects and managing competing priorities
Desirable
Experience supporting or contributing to practical habitat delivery and site-based works.
Experience across a range of sectors such as conservation, land management, arboriculture or agriculture.
Experience supporting project management activities, including programmes, budgets, subcontractors or small work packages.
Experience contributing to quotes, proposals and tenders.
Experience liaising with landowners, contractors or statutory bodies.
Qualifications
Essential
A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience*) in Ecology, Conservation, Environmental Science, Geography or related subject A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle will be required for this position.
Desirable
A postgraduate degree in Ecology, Conservation, Environmental Science, Geography or a related subject
Membership of CIEEM
