With our projects growing in scale and complexity, we have an opportunity for a contract Planner to join our team based in Barnard Castle, North East England. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a dynamic project portfolio within a major EPCM framework.
The Opportunity
As a Planner, you will support the planning and scheduling activities across a range of projects, ensuring successful delivery through all project phases -- from feasibility to operational handover. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Clients, providing crucial input to project planning, progress reporting, and risk management activities.
Key Objectives:

  • Administer and manage all programme requirements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and internal procedures.
  • Develop, produce, and manage multiple project schedules, ensuring they are fully robust and accurately capture all project updates and changes.
  • Fully integrate with project teams and clients, delivering a high-quality planning service that drives repeat business.
  • Support schedule reviews, monitor progress, and provide clear, actionable reporting to project stakeholders.
About You
  • Proven experience in project planning within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related sectors.
  • Proficient in using Primavera P6 (essential) and confident using Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycles, project management methodologies, and best planning practices.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

This role requires a presence on-site at Barnard Castle at least three days per week.
