We're looking for a talented
Project Search Instructor
to join the
LEAP (Lifeskills, Employability, and Pathways) Team
, dedicated to supporting young adults with learning disabilities or autism to achieve sustainable employment through targeted internships, skills development, and personalised support.
The role of Facilitator is to deliver a positive and supportive service in delivering essential training and support to young people during their transition from previous destinations into college and helping them prepare for employment in a supported environment. This role will be to deliver vocational training and support students in the work placements.
Who we're looking for
You will be an empathetic, patient and motivated person who can provide effective training in skills including pathways to employment.
You will be expected to role model good communication and team working with young people and work effectively using your own initiative.
To succeed in the role, you will ideally have:
Suitable training or coaching qualification and have experience of working in a similar Educational or employment training role with 16- 21 year olds with additional learning and support needs.
Strong organisation/ team working/ relationship building skills.
Be flexible and adaptable when situations occurs both to support the needs of learners and the department.
Good/ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experienced in using IT to deliver training
Experience using MS Office
This post is required to on campus/ training setting and includes onsite student placement visits. ( a full drivers licence is preferable)
