We are seeking a proactive and well-organised Project Support Engineer to join our Projects team. This is a varied and fast-paced role, supporting project delivery from initial sales support through design, procurement, build, testing and final despatch.

Working closely with Project Engineers, R&D, Production, Procurement and Sales, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification and to the highest quality standards.

This position is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to gain broad project experience within a technical, electrical and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Produce and coordinate project drawings and design documentation using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards and customer requirements. Provide technical support to Sales, including drawings and cost input for quotations. Liaise with Procurement and key suppliers to ensure components meet quality standards and are delivered in line with project requirements. Track component delivery status and clearly communicate any schedule impacts to Project Engineers. Coordinate with Production, Goods Out and Logistics teams to plan dispatch dates and maintain agreed project milestones. Assist with basic system testing and provide structured technical feedback to support continuous improvement.

About you:



You will be a proactive and well-organised individual with a strong interest in project engineering and delivering high-quality technical solutions. You will be detail-focused and comfortable working simultaneously across multiple projects, with an ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues and suppliers.

You will have a good technical foundation, ideally with experience or exposure to electrical or manufacturing environments and will be confident producing and interpreting technical drawings and documentation.

You will be expected to take the initiative to keep projects moving and will manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, a willingness to take ownership of tasks, and a collaborative approach to problem solving will be key to your success in this role.

Essential:



Up to two years' CAD experience, with the confidence to use core functions independently to produce schematics and accurately scaled drawings. HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline, or relevant industry experience. Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent organisational and communication skills, including a professional telephone manner.

Desirable:



A basic understanding of electrical circuitry and the ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings. Experience giving technical input to costings, quotations or sales activities. Experience supporting projects within an engineering or technical environment. Marine industry experience (advantageous but not essential).
