We are working with the NHS to find 2x Project Support Officers to join the Digital Programmes Team. Reporting to the Digital PMO Manager you will be working within the digital and IT project and programme management team supporting large scale programmes and projects. Previous NHS experience is NOT required but will have a proven track record in project support.

We have 2x opportunities on a fixed term contract (1 x 12 months FTE, 1 x 24 months FTE). Full NHS benefits apply including pension contributions. The role requires to be on site in Bristol min 2 days per week.

This role is a broad project support role, working across the whole digital portfolio and being in close liaison with Project Managers, Programme Managers and Senior Directors, Team Leads and wider project stakeholder. Additionally, you will be providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), working across a multidisciplinary team of clinical and nursing teams to deliver digital enabled projects and contributing to expanding the Programme Management Office Centre of Excellence by design, development and regular updates to the tool, template and forms and their effective application.

The candidate will be working alongside an extremely busy and supportive Digital Programme team and will be focused on large ongoing Digital Change programmes, which span across the organisation and the wider System.

Experience:

  • Previous NHS experience is NOT required but will have a proven track record in project support
  • Requires a Prince 2 foundation level certificate or the equivalent level of knowledge and or experience
  • Experience of working in an IT or PMO function
  • Experience of managing finances for tracking and budgetary purposes
Skills:
  • Excellent presentation skills using a wide range of Microsoft products
  • Ability to make routine presentations to staff/teams
  • Attention to detail and an ability to provide information reporting at a high standard
  • Excellent presentation skills both verbal and written
  • o work independently and without supervision and be responsible for own workload, assuring agreed objectives are met
  • To be able to deliver work to strict deadlines
  • Have the ability to work under pressure
