Project Worker 2, BOOST
The BOOST programme is part of the THRiVE Newtownabbey collective impact project. We work with children and families to support children's learning and development. We work in schools and communities to help improve connections between children, parents, schools and communities to improve outcomes for children.



The BOOST Project Worker role will focus on improving educational achievement through work with children and their parents. This will include:


Working with pupils to engage them in learning and improve numeracy and literacy attainment, using a range of interventions Working with parents, delivering home learning packs, information sessions and programmes to support parents to promote learning at home, with a focus on literacy and numeracy Delivering family learning sessions after school for children and parents to engage in learning activities together

Essential criteria




Professional qualification to degree level in teaching i.e. Bachelor of Education or Degree with PGCE Demonstrable experience of teaching children in a primary school setting Demonstrable experience of using creative approaches to promote children's numeracy and literacy.

Desirable Criteria




Demonstrable experience of working with parents to support them with involvement in children's learning

Positions:

2 x 30 hour posts available, to be worked across four days, term time.


Contract:

Fixed term 1st September until 31st March 2026. (May be extended subject to funding)


Salary

: 27,573 - 36,389.29 FTE

The successful candidate will also be required to undertake an Enhanced Access NI with Child Barred List check.
