The Project Worker brings together unpaid Carers from across Angus to share their experiences, raise awareness of key issues, and ensure Carers' voices are heard. The group provides feedback on information from Health and Social Care Partnership and other bodies, enabling Carers to feedback into policies and practices that affect them directly.
Key Responsibilities
Connect with unpaid carers across Angus to ensure diverse representation.
Facilitate meetings and create accessible participation options (remote and in-person).
Raise awareness of carers' roles and contributions.
Organise monthly meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain accurate records.
Support members to represent the group in thematic areas (e.g., Dementia, Mental Health, Parent Carers).
Attend informal groups, such as cuppy groups, to gather insights on issues carers face and identify potential members.
Communicating with the wider team and to feedback information for the Angus Carers Strategic Group.
Carry out evaluations using qualitative and quantitative measures.
Review group priorities and update Terms of Reference as required.

Community engagement
Community Education qualification, or relevant experience in a community setting
Full driving licence, and a suitable vehicle for work with business insurance
Partnership working with private, public and third-sector organisations
Good level of IT literacy, such as MS Office, online tools and apps
Desirable
Knowledge of Angus Carers Strategic Plan and local health/social care structures.
Experience working with unpaid carers or in a social care setting.

Salary is 23042 pro rata on a fixed term contract until end March 2027 initially (subject to continuation funding beyond this).
