Based in Upminster, Essex

Salary:

50,000p.a. + performance related bonuses

Purpose of the Role:



To manage, coordinate and deliver window and door installation projects from survey through to completion, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project/Contracts Manager acts as the key liaison between clients, installation teams, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery and exceptional customer experience.



Key responsibilities include:



Project Delivery



Oversee the full lifecycle of window and door installation projects. Plan, schedule and manage installation teams, subcontractors and resources to meet programme requirements. Conduct pre-start meetings, technical reviews and ensure surveys are accurate and complete. Monitor project progress, resolving issues and ensuring minimal disruption to clients.

Contracts & Compliance



Ensure all works meet contractual obligations, industry standards, and building regulations (e.g., FENSA/Certass). Manage contract documentation, variations, risk assessments and method statements. Ensure health & safety compliance onsite, conducting audits and enforcing safe working practices.

Client & Stakeholder Management



Act as primary point of contact for clients, builders, architects, and main contractors. Provide regular progress updates and handle queries, complaints or escalations professionally. Build strong relationships to support repeat business and maintain the company's reputation.

Financial & Commercial Responsibilities



Manage budgets, cost forecasts, and profitability of each project. Approve labour hours, supplier invoices, and material orders within delegated authority. Identify variations, issue change orders, and ensure accurate documentation.

Quality Control



Ensure installations meet the manufacturer's specifications and company quality standards. Carry out post-installation inspections and ensure defects/snags are resolved promptly. Drive continuous improvement in installation standards and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience Required



Essential

Proven experience in managing window and door installation projects. Strong understanding of glazing systems, UPVC, aluminium, timber, and composite products. Knowledge of relevant regulations (FENSA, Building Regulations Part L/F/Q, CDM etc.). Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

Experience in both residential and commercial project delivery. SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS Manager card or equivalent H&S qualifications. Experience with CRM and project management software.

Hours - Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5pm
