We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Projects Carpenter to join our Estates Department in a busy educational and boarding community on a Fixed Term 12-month contract.
You will support the Construction Projects Manager by undertaking projects and general maintenance duties along with installations and will be required to have relevant training and experience as a qualified Carpenter and Joiner.
You will work in a professional and flexible manner that meets the demands of customers and
complete all types of carpentry activities both internally and externally in order to complete projects as directed by you line manager or other nominated designate.
This role requires the postholder to hold relevant trade City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Carpentry.
Attention to detail and accurate record keeping is essential, ensuring compliance in all areas. We are looking for someone with a collaborative approach who works well as a member of a team but is also happy working on their own. Interpersonal skills are essential as well as a can-do attitude. A general user knowledge of IT is required.
A competitive salary of 35,712.78 per annum dependent upon qualifications and experience. The role is 40 hours per week, 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday, all year round, but some flexibility is required including the occasional weekend and evening if there is an emergency or a pre-planned event.
