The Company



Aspray is a leading FCA regulated loss assessor managing property damage claims throughout the UK.

Since 2005, the service has been delivered nationally through a network of franchise partners (Appointed Representatives) who manage the claim from start to finish, this includes negotiating a fair settlement with the insurer, instructing vetted contractors and project managing the repairs to the property.

The Job Role



Claims Handler position reporting to the company's Claims Supervisor. You will be one of the first point on contacts for policyholders, AR's, introducers, suppliers and visitors on the telephone and face to face and providing support to the Aspray Head Office team and network.

The Ideal Individual



Ideally you will have previous experience working within the insurance industry and/or be Cert CILA or Cert CII qualified.

We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible team player.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to incorporate their job role into the wider business, and understand the importance of communication and interaction with other departments.

You will have a confident and friendly telephone manner along with a professional persona. Personal presentation will always be of a high standard and the ability to work in a face-to-face service-based environment is important.

A strong attention to detail is required along with excellent computer skills, the ability to multi-task, and effectively manage your own workload.

Main Duties



Promoting the company in a positive light to all stakeholders and customers.
Answering incoming calls
Adhering to FCA regulations
Liaising with clients, and other individuals and companies.
Operating a CRM system and ensuring that it is always kept fully updated
Processing contractor applications in line with FCA regulations
Processing new claim enquiries and assisting the Aspray network of loss assessors with validation and negotiation.
Arranging appointments with policyholders for a local loss assessor to attend their property
Assisting the Aspray Head Office claims team with processing of documentation and other admin tasks
Providing monthly and weekly claim updates to Aspray clients
Escalating any issues to senior management
Attendance at training or conference events as support may be required
Any other duties as instructed by your line manager.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required



A friendly and professional telephone manner.
Cert CILA or Cert CII qualified or willing to work towards.
A proactive, positive and organised approach to all tasks.
Excellent I.T skills Inc. Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel etc
Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
A good work ethic, and exceptional time management and organisational skills.
The ability to take instruction and follow set procedures.
Flexibility & the ability to stay composed under pressure.
Annual Leave 28 days per annum (includes Bank Holidays). Normal hours of work: 9.00am to 5.00pm Mon to Thursday, 9:00am- 4:30pm on Fridays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-30,000.00 per year
