Property Finance Solicitor (banking And Property Finance Team)

Newcastle upon Tyne, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Burnetts is one of the most progressive law firms in the North of England and are very proud to have been ranked 23rd in the Top 100 UK's Best Workplaces(TM) 2025 by Great Place to Work

We have not only achieved awards for being a Great Place to Work each year from 2021, but also hold accreditations for being one of the UK wide Best Workplaces for Women, Wellbeing, and Development.

We have an exciting opportunity for a property finance solicitor (or a commercial property solicitor with substantial experience of funding transactions) to join our Banking and Property Finance team based at our Newcastle office.

Who are we looking for?

We are ideally looking for applicants with 5 years+ PQE, although this is flexible for the right candidate. The team provides advice for many commercial lenders, lending against the full range of commercial properties (and agricultural properties), including property portfolios and developments.

You should be confident in front of clients and be able to provide exceptional service. The team has a reputation for being very collaborative, pragmatic and solution-focused and the right candidate would have to demonstrate that they can fit in with the culture of the team. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated and efficient and who enjoy seeing a task through to completion and working to deadlines.

The successful candidate will have a proactive, 'can-do' attitude to enable them to work closely with a team of legal fee earners on all aspects of this work. The ability to work as part of a team is therefore essential together with excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.

What do we offer?

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate with the potential of longer-term career advancement in a forward-thinking law firm with a well-established client base. Along with this we will provide you with a competitive salary, pension, 30 days holiday and Private Medical Health Insurance; in addition, we will even give you your birthday off every year too!
