Property Inspector (Self-Employed) - Birmingham

HMO Horizon is seeking detail-oriented professionals to join our property inspection team in Birmingham. This self-employed role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to tenant safety and property compliance.

Role Overview: As a Property Inspector, you will conduct comprehensive health and safety assessments at various residential properties in Birmingham. Using cutting-edge tablet technology, you'll perform thorough inspections to ensure properties meet the highest standards of safety and compliance. This includes checking fire alarms, fire doors, emergency lights and property condition. Knowledge of HHSRS will be valuable.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed property inspections following established protocols

Perform health and safety assessments using digital tools

Attention to detail is crucial as this is a very critical and responsible role

Punctual attendance to pre set appointment times.

Attend regular training sessions to stay updated on industry standards and best practices

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our inspection processes

Qualifications and Requirements:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities (A MUST)

Proficiency with MS Office suite and aptitude for learning new technologies

Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for travel between properties

Willingness to undergo a DBS check

Health & Safety Qualifications (Ideally Property Related)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in property inspections, health and safety, or related fields

Relevant certifications in health and safety regulations

Knowledge of industry-specific safety protocols

HHSRS

NEBOSH

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to punctuality and a dedication to maintaining high standards of safety for vulnerable tenants. This role combines some office-based work with mainly field inspections, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment. You will be visiting around 7-8 different properties throughout Birmingham during the day and at times to other cities. Own vehicle is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
