Cope & Co. is growing, and we're looking for a meticulous, people-friendly Property Inspection & Inventory Clerk to help us protect our landlords' assets and give tenants a smooth move-in/move-out experience. What you'll do
Produce detailed inventories, check-ins, mid-term inspections, and check-out reports with time-stamped photos and precise condition notes.
Conduct fire alarm checks at properties where legally required.
Record meter readings, key handovers, smoke/CO alarm tests, and cleanliness/maintenance observations.
Use our digital reporting tools to create clear, consistent reports that stand up to dispute resolution.
Flag repairs, safety issues, and compliance concerns (e.g., damp/mould indicators, HHSRS risks) promptly.
Liaise professionally with tenants, landlords, and contractors--upholding our values of Compassion, Commitment, and Collaboration.
Plan efficient daily routes across Derbyshire to meet SLAs and same-day/next-day reporting timelines.
What you'll bring
Clean UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
Strong written English, grammar, and a calm, fair approach to property condition assessments.
Confidence with smartphones/tablets and inventory/reporting software (training provided).
Excellent time management--able to prioritise and keep to tight schedules.
Professionalism in occupied homes and vacant properties; discretion and respect are a must.
Nice to have: prior experience in lettings, inventories, facility inspections, or housing compliance.

Hours & pattern
Core hours Monday - Friday 8:45am - 5:30pm
Compliance
Right to work in the UK required.
Full training on safety and data protection provided.
