We are a

busy East London-based estate agency

seeking a

highly skilled Property Maintenance Handyman / Multi-Trader

to work with us on a

self-employed contractor basis

.

This role is suited to an experienced professional who can

problem-solve independently

, work at pace, and deliver high-quality workmanship. When our properties become vacant,

fast and efficient turnaround of voids is critical

, and we require someone who can take ownership and deliver results with minimal supervision.

The Role

Working across a portfolio of residential properties, you will be responsible for preparing homes for re-letting, often within short timeframes, while maintaining a consistently high standard of work.

Typical Works Include

Full property preparation during void periods Painting and decorating Plumbing repairs and basic electrical works Changing locks and securing properties Roof repairs, gutter clearance, and drain unblocking Flooring installation and repairs External maintenance including grass and hedge cutting General property repairs and rubbish disposal Basic carpentry, including fire door installation Providing clear job updates and completion reports

What We're Looking For

Highly experienced handyman / multi-trader

with a broad technical skill set Excellent

problem-solving and diagnostic ability

Able to work

quickly and efficiently

under pressure without compromising quality Professional, reliable, and customer-focused Comfortable managing urgent works and tight turnaround times Holds a

full manual UK driving licence

This role is not suited to entry-level or part-time handymen; we are seeking an experienced contractor capable of delivering complete property turnarounds.

Earnings

40,000 - 50,000 OTE

, depending on availability, workload, and performance Consistent, ongoing work with a busy estate agency
