Key Responsibilities
Site Clearance & Void Property Preparation:
Execute full house clearances, including the removal of furniture, waste, and debris.
Ensure all cleared areas are left clean, tidy, and safe for new residents or contractors.
Manage the segregation and legal disposal of waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
Driving & Logistics:
Operate a company van daily to transport tools, materials, and cleared waste between locations.
Conduct routine safety checks and maintenance on the vehicle (oil, tires, cleanliness).
Security & Locksmithing:
Assess, repair, and replace locks on doors, windows, and gates to ensure site security.
Maintain and adjust door closers, security hardware, and access systems.
General Maintenance:
Perform minor repairs across multiple trades, including basic plumbing (draining down properties).
Overgrowth Clearance: Clearing neglected or overgrown gardens during house clearances to return them to a "maintainable standard".
Weed Control: Managing weeds on paths, driveways, and flower beds using safe and approved methods.
Power Tools: Safe operation of petrol mowers, strimmers, and hedge trimmers.
Requirements & Skills
Driving License:
A full, valid driving license is essential for operating fleet vehicles.
Technical Proficiency:
Competence in using a wide range of hand and power tools.
Communication:
Strong customer service skills for interacting with a variety of agencies and team members.
Time management:
Tasks are organized around timed appointments, working efficiently is essential.
Physical Ability:
Must be capable of manual handling tasks, including furniture removal and clearance work.
