About the role
This is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our customer-focused responsive repairs service. You'll provide comprehensive administrative support to our East & West regions and work closely with colleagues in our Property Services, Customer Services and Housing teams.
Duties include:
Liaising with responsive repairs and major works contractors in the delivery of our responsive repairs services, including requesting contractor updates and reviewing contractor portals.
Monitoring and responding to contractors' communications, then actioning and querying requests as appropriate.
Raising tasks and liaising with customers to arrange inspections for surveyors and other colleagues.
Coordinating and minuting contractor review meetings.
Updating our housing management system.
Reviewing and investigating payment requests from contractors and processing valuations, purchase orders and invoices to contractors and suppliers promptly and efficiently.
About you
We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and enjoys bringing structure and efficiency to a busy team. This administration role is central to keeping our operations running smoothly, so we need someone who can juggle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and stay calm under pressure. A knack for problem-solving and a proactive approach to challenges are key.
You'll need:
Experience of working in a busy, customer-facing environment.
An empathetic touch and ability to offer solutions to problems.
To be assertive where necessary, saying "no" when appropriate, whilst remaining sensitive and calm.
To be able to provide excellent services with a quick turnaround.
Excellent IT skills with the aptitude to use specialist software (training provided).
