Ours is a City to take pride in. As Property Services Officer, you\xe2\x80\x99ll help us keep quality of housing high in a location like no other on Earth. Your remit will span property development and maintenance services for properties looked after by our Housing Department. This includes the world-famous Barbican estate of unique residential dwellings and commercial properties.

It\xe2\x80\x99s a varied and vital role. Taking responsibility for operational repairs and other property related issues, you\xe2\x80\x99ll arrange and oversee work by contractors. Where possible, you\xe2\x80\x99ll carry out minor repairs yourself in order to get things shipshape quickly, to a high standard. You can expect to be managing a number of projects and budgets simultaneously, across our estates. We\xe2\x80\x99ll rely on you to analyse problems, and to prepare briefs, risk assessments and tender documents. Along the way, you will work closely with Customer & Support Services and Maintenance & Project Officers.

To join us, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need proven experience of supervising building contracts, managing maintenance and improvement projects, carrying out minor repairs and identifying complex works. Your administrative responsibilities call for proficiency in ICT including Microsoft Word and Outlook. With a demonstrable flair for communication and customer care, you\xe2\x80\x99re equally comfortable when overseeing contractors, liaising with senior colleagues and discussing repairs with residents.
