AMP Power Protection Limited are a leading independent supplier of power protection equipment including UPS, Chargers, Battery Packs, Generators etc.

These systems range from standard to complex systems and are supplied to many industries including Defence, Marine, Power, Water etc.

Job Overview



The Proposals Engineer is responsible for overseeing the development and submission of technical proposals and quotes to ensure alignment with client requirements, specifications, and organizational capabilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams to generate high-quality, accurate, and competitive quotes that meet customer expectations, while ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare and submit detailed technical and commercial proposals, based on customer specifications. Customize and configure UPS solutions to meet specific customer applications and environments. Provide pre-sales technical support. Work with suppliers and other 3rd-parties to identify new components and technologies that may be required as part of our solutions. Collaborate in the R&D process to relay customer feedback and contribute to product improvements. Participate in trade shows, customer visits, and technical seminars as a company representative. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, feedback, and solutions provided.

Experience and Qualifications



2+ years of experience in a sales engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing engineering role. HND or Degree In relevant Electronics or Engineering field. Experience as an electrician or engineer in an industrial setting would also be considered. Experience in the UPS, Batteries and Power Generating industries. Hands-on experience with product testing, integration, or installation preferred.

Skills and Competencies



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Commercial awareness and ability to create quotes. Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite. Knowledge of UPS industry standards and protocols Knowledge of electrical standards, power quality, and backup power design principles. A knowledge of defence and security industry would be a benefit.

Working Conditions



Office-based with occasional travel to customer sites, trade shows, or training events. May involve some hands-on or manufacturing environment exposure.

What We Offer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
