Duration: 6 Months+ (Contract)

Rate: 30.00 per hour (Umbrella)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9am - 5pm

Hybrid: 3 days on site per week


A Snapshot of Your Day


As a Proposal Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and delivering high-quality quotation packages. Working closely with customers and internal teams, you'll take ownership of each opportunity from bid decision to quote submission. You'll collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to assess manufacturability, estimate costs, and define project scope.


How You'll Make an Impact


Collaborate with engineers, customers, and the sales team throughout the bid process.


Help customers define minimum requirements and develop complete RfQ packages.


Liaise with customers and technical experts to shape product definitions.


Take ownership from bid decision to final quote submission.


Identify and liaise with subcontractors for quoting requirements.


Provide ROM quotes and business case calculations to the sales team.


Consolidate inputs from cross-functional teams for accurate costing and technical understanding.


Prepare formal quote documentation and deliver quote packages.


Manage and maintain quote processes, tools, and records.


What You Bring


Essential:


Proven experience in engineering or sales within a manufacturing environment.


Strong background in project proposals and cost estimation.


Customer-facing experience with excellent communication skills.


Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.


Confidence presenting technical solutions and negotiating project scopes.


Desired:


Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand manufacturing methods.


Basic proficiency with CAD software (e.g., NX or similar).


Experience or knowledge of 3D printing technologies.


Familiarity with additive manufacturing preparation suites (e.g., Magics).


Optional:


Project management experience.
