We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Prosthetic Technician to join our team in Sheffield.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of bespoke prosthetic devices. This role involves a range of manufacturing processes, including plastic vacuum forming, fabrication, and composite lamination. Applicants should be skilled in following manufacturers' guidelines, interpreting specification sheets, and instructions, and working confidently with a variety of materials and production techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Comply with all health and safety standards as set out in local site policies.
Ensure all products meet quality standards -- achieving a "right first time" outcome.
Maintain the department to high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Manufacture prosthetic devices in accordance with clinical specifications.
Notify the Team Leader promptly of any production or delivery discrepancies.
Prepare, maintain, and sign off production and inspection records for all completed work.
Work efficiently to meet required lead times and production schedules.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Previous experience in manufacturing prosthetic devices.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
Self-motivated, with the ability to use initiative and work independently.
Positive, proactive, and solutions-focused attitude.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Able to plan, prioritise, and organise work effectively.

Level 3 or above apprenticeship qualification in a related field.
