Protocol Paralegal

Newcastle upon Tyne, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

At Winn Group, we're more than a business. We're a driving force in the North East, delivering nationwide accident management and rehabilitation services for victims of non-fault accidents. Our mission is simple: to be the best one-stop shop for accident management and rehabilitation. As the parent company of Winn Solicitors and On Hire, we lead the market in Personal Injury Law. With a 4.8 Star rating by Trustpilot, we provide an excellent service for the client from start to finish.

We are looking for a detailed oriented and organised individual to join Protocol Team within our First Response Team as a Protocol Paralegal where you would be responsible for ensuring efficient case progression, effective recovery in relation to the heads of claim and delivering a positive customer experience, whilst following appropriate policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Accept and make ad hoc telephone enquiries from/to clients, stakeholders and third parties with regard to cases. Ensuring that all claims are handled efficiently and in the correct technical manner; settling them in line with policy cover and legal liability. Build a positive relationship with each client whilst processing the claim, helping to manage their expectations and deliver the right outcome. Ensure accuracy in all aspects of case handling, logging supporting evidence and handling claims under the Civil Procedure Rules and Legislation. Monitor provision of hire vehicles to ensure the hire system works effectively and hire duration is constructive. Negotiate to control costs, adhering to deadlines and time constraints. Prepare cases thoroughly, making appropriate arguments in relation to recovery, ensuring we obtain evidence in support of impecuniosity, and/or client losses (where applicable). Use Chox, Verify, Bordereaux and other B2B systems to submit evidence and negotiate with Insurers for the best outcome on settlements. Maximise income per case through timely and effective recovery of hire, repairs, recovery/storage and any other losses.
