Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented engineering technician / wireman to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development, build and testing of UAVs for various aerospace applications.

This position requires a strong competency with mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate should have experience with assembling electronic and mechanical components. They should be good at wiring, soldering and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Most importantly they should have passion and take pride in their work.

Any experience with radio control aircraft, engines and other engineering areas (welding, machining etc) would be very advantageous.

Duties

Assemble prototype airframe and avionics systems. Build wiring looms with crimp/solder connections. Modify parts with hand tools. Read and interpret schematics, ensuring accurate build of system designs. Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical issues. Stock management of prototype parts. General good tidiness and management of workshop space.

Desired experience

Previous experience in an engineering environment is essential. Proficiency in wiring is required. Strong mechanical knowledge with an appreciation of good practice engineering principles. Ability to problem-solve basic engineering problems. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
