BT\'s decision to close its PSTN Network by December 2025 is the catalyst for a profound technology and market change in the UK. It will require every business customer in the UK to look at their existing voice and broadband estate and determine the right solution for them in an All IP world. This represents a risk and an opportunity for Vodafone Business. We have \xc2\xa3100m of revenue based on broadband and line rental products that depend on BT\'s legacy PSTN infrastructure. But with
10% market share in the fixed market in the UK, we also have the opportunity to take share from our competitors, in particular BT. The Product & Propositions teams is accountable to the Business Director in the UK for ensuring we have robust plans to support the effective and timely migration of our existing base of connections and revenue, but also to support our ambition to acquire new customers as a result of the All IP transition.

What you\'ll do

The Senior Programme Manager - All IP Programme will be accountable to the Head of Product & Propositions for building and leading the team to oversee the success of the All IP programme. In particular, this means:

  • Developing migration plans for our broadband and line rental base underpinned by robust data, funded and interlocked with sales segments, delivery and operations teams.
  • Tracking and overseeing execution of base customer migrations in line with BT\'s timeline, and with the financial and operational objectives of the programme
The position requires a highly experienced delivery management professional with a mix of relevant SME, industry and leadership experience, an ability to flex between the strategic and the operational, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of energy and flexibility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced, agile, team-oriented environment. Critically, the successful candidate will have the credibility and leadership skills necessary to manage a large virtual team across multiple functions, and the drive and determination to deliver a challenging but rewarding goal.
  • Provide the transformation, operational and people leadership required to mobilise and deliver business critical transformation programme
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects and programmes across channels, segments and delivery functions to time, cost and quality
  • Delivering the agreed business outcomes
  • Providing timely, clear and transparent visibility of progress
  • Ensuring high cross-functional stakeholder satisfaction
  • Driving programme mobilisation, including requirements definition, programme governance, expenditure and Technical/ Functional Expert resource allocation
  • Ensuring that the appropriate structures are implemented to enable effective execution: relevant propositions and journeys including design & requirements, solution development, test, solution launch, assurance & oversight, financial tracking, delivery and resource planning, as well as the management of change, risk & issues and dependencies
  • Working with stakeholders across the delivery to ensure they have the support required to deliver to time, cost and quality
  • Implement governance structure and manage/escalating issues to the SteerCo and other fora TBD
  • Embed best practice and consistent ways of working across delivery execution; maximise lessons learnt and create a culture of continuous improvement. Identify thematic challenges to delivery and support the CoE community in seeking their resolution
Who you are
  • Highly experienced delivery management professional
  • The credibility, and leadership skills necessary to lead and develop a business critical programme
  • Ability to flex between the strategic and the operational
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence and operate at the senior management level
  • High level of energy and flexibility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced, agile, team-oriented environment
  • Telecommunications industry experience
  • Degree educated or equivalent industry experience
  • Project / Programme Management accreditations: MSP Practitioner, Prince 2, AOM, PMI, APMP
  • Telco experience
  • SAFe certified or detailed knowledge (desirable)
