Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driving licence, a clean driving record, and the ability to navigate various routes efficiently. The Bus Driver will play a crucial role in transporting passengers to their destinations safely and on time.

This role is Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday Shifts (No Sunday Shifts).

Responsibilities

Operate the bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, ensuring their safety at all times. Maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards passengers, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have. Keep accurate records of passenger counts, routes taken, and any incidents that occur during the journey. Report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly to management. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the bus interior before and after each trip.

Qualifications

Valid bus driving licence (Category D) with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with passengers. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adhere to schedules reliably. A good understanding of road safety regulations and procedures. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations effectively. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as required.
