We are seeking a professional and reliable Bus Driver to operate passenger vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a good understanding of vehicle maintenance. This role involves transporting passengers along designated routes, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to community transportation services while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Safely operate buses on scheduled routes, adhering to traffic laws and company policies Ensure passenger safety by following proper boarding and disembarking procedures Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues or safety hazards Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents during shifts Communicate effectively with passengers, providing assistance and information as needed Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks or report issues to the maintenance team promptly Follow all health and safety regulations, including COVID-19 protocols when applicable Assist with loading and unloading luggage or cargo if required

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is desirable Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record Mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle checks and minor repairs Excellent communication skills in English to interact with passengers and team members effectively Good understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety standards Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally during busy periods Experience with driving large vehicles such as lorries or buses is advantageous Reliable, punctual, organised, and committed to providing excellent customer service
