We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health care, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health conditions, providing psychotherapy, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Your expertise in pediatric psychiatry, crisis management, and addiction counseling will be invaluable as you work with diverse populations, including children and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include psychotherapy, medication management, and crisis intervention.
Provide cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other therapeutic modalities tailored to patient needs.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Engage in telehealth services as needed to expand access to care for patients.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on data collection and clinical observations.
Provide education to patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychiatry.
Requirements
Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed residency in Psychiatry.
Post-residency experience preferred; experience in pediatric psychiatry is a plus.
Strong background in crisis management, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Proficiency in psychopharmacology and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
Experience working within hospital settings as well as outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and patient care protocols.
Ability to conduct intake assessments effectively while maintaining a compassionate approach towards patients.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient interactions.
