Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various psychiatric disciplines, including pediatric psychiatry and experience working with diverse populations, including children and individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health care, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans for patients across various settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments.

Responsibilities



Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments. Provide psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy, tailored to patient needs. Manage medication regimens through psychopharmacology and monitor patient responses. Offer crisis management support and addiction counseling as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage in telehealth services to expand access to care for patients. Participate in data collection and analysis for ongoing quality improvement initiatives. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions.

Experience



Post-residency experience in psychiatry is required, with a focus on pediatric psychiatry being highly desirable. Proven experience working with children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with both inpatient and outpatient settings is essential. Strong background in mental health counseling, crisis management, and PTSD care is beneficial. Experience with medical terminology, medical records management, and intake processes is necessary. Previous involvement in behavioral health services or clinic experience will be an advantage. Telehealth experience is a plus, reflecting adaptability to modern healthcare delivery methods.
