Are you passionate about applying your psychological knowledge and DBT skills to provide and develop an outstanding service for adults of working age? If so, we want to hear from you!



An exciting opportunity has arisen in East Suffolk adult community service for an experienced and enthusiastic qualified DBT Therapist.



You will be taking a lead within the DBT service and work with colleagues to provide quality evidence-based DBT to service users from the three community teams. You will provide valuable consultation and training for our hard working and friendly multi disciplinary staff.



You will be supported to flourish and develop your knowledge and skills through training and supervision.


Main duties of the job




You will have excellent communication and engagement skills, developing and maintaining good working relationships with multi-disciplinary staff across East Suffolk adult CMHT's and other locality teams.


You will regularly attend team meetings, and provide DBT-informed consultation for staff. You will develop and deliver training for staff on working in a DBT informed way.



You will provide clinical assessment and formulation, and develop and deliver high-quality DBT interventions to service users with complex emotional and relational needs.


You will be familiar with the collection and analysis of outcome measures.

Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). DBT Therapist Accreditation with SfDBT #

Experience




Essential criteria




Post qualification experience of working with people with serious mental health problems or complex emotional needs Experience of delivering DBT to a range of service users

Desirable criteria




Experience of working in a service for severe mental health problems #

Knowledge




Essential criteria




Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health Demonstrates a highlevel knowledge of DBT, including the theoretical foundations and overarching principles
