About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Psychology Assistant to join our team at Psicon. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting psychological services and contributing to high-quality care for adults, children, and young people. You will provide essential clinical administrative support, assist with psycho-educational courses, and help maintain the smooth running of our service.
This role is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 month but could be extended. The role is based in the centre of Canterbury, Kent
(Please note there is no onsite parking)
. Our working week for this role is Monday-Friday, hours are 09:00-17:00.
Principle duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Provide efficient clinical administrative support to Directors and clinicians.
Maintain accurate clinical records and prepare reports in line with BPS standards.
Prepare test materials, visual aids, and correspondence.
Collect and analyse data, producing reports to inform service delivery.
Support planning and organisation of psycho-educational courses and groups under supervision.
Liaise with families, carers, schools, and other professionals to ensure holistic care.
Conduct literature searches, audits, and outcome evaluations.
Understand safeguarding and risk assessment procedures, escalating concerns appropriately.
Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
Person Specification
Must have GCSEs in Maths and English (A-C)
Must have a degree in Psychology or be working towards (Degree must be accredited by BPS)
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
Competence in IT systems and data analysis.
Awareness of safeguarding and risk management.
Previous experience in a psychology or healthcare setting is desirable.
