The Role
As our
Psychotherapist
, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people with complex needs. Working within our dynamic Health Agency and wider multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver specialist, person-centred interventions that empower individuals to understand, manage and thrive with their mental health.
This is a unique opportunity to deliver meaningful, impactful work across school, residential and therapy settings. You'll be joining a committed and talented team -- and helping to embed a truly therapeutic culture across the Centre.
What You'll Do
Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people
Deliver personalised, evidence-based therapeutic sessions
Carry out holistic mental health assessments and contribute to multi-agency care plans
Collaborate with residential staff, teaching teams, nurses and external professionals
Maintain high-quality clinical records and contribute to statutory reviews
Contribute to clinical governance, quality assurance, and staff training
Champion best practice and innovation in mental health support for individuals with complex needs
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone passionate, emotionally intelligent, and highly skilled in supporting children with a wide range of needs.
You will have:
A postgraduate qualification in Psychotherapy or related field
Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., BACP, HCPC)
Experience working therapeutically with children and young people with additional or complex needs
A collaborative approach to working with families and professional teams
Knowledge of mental health strategies, safeguarding, and relevant legislation
