Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires a reliable individual who can handle the demands of commercial driving.

Temp to perm basis for right candidate with potential move to full-time.

4 days a week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, occasional Saturday when required.

Start time 6am - finish usually around 3 -4 pm (Saturday half day)

Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods. Some heavy lifting required so would need to be physically fit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, promoting a culture of safety on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.
Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving. Class 2, Current CPC and Digi tacho card, no more than 6 points on licence. Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous. Able to work alone and as part of a small team. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in logistics. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
