The Exciting Role
Lancashire Adult Learning are looking for a talented and student focused Community Teacher in to join their enthusiastic Health and Social Care team on a part-time hourly paid basis. The role will involve teaching on our Residential Childcare Services programmes, Mental Health programmes up to Level 3, and also managing a caseload of online learners accessing the learning and assessment remotely via our online platform.
Delivering various courses to adult learners, the ideal candidate will focus on embracing the College ethos that every learner will achieve their full potential and positively represent the College both internally and externally at all times. Programmes are aimed at individuals aiming to progress into the Health and Care sector or prepare them for further and higher education towards employment in a range of pathways.
This role will be based at our sites in Accrington (Accrington & Rossendale College and The Waterside Centre) however, travel across Lancashire may be required.

What You Will Be Doing:
Deliver all elements of substantial career focussed programmes including: teaching, mentoring, learner reviews, timely feedback and assessment
Plan and prepare high quality teaching and learning for primarily classroom and some online delivery and/or assessment.
Develop and share resources with the team
Support, develop and assess learner work on accredited provision at a range of levels
Complete reviews of learner progress towards achievement of individual learning goals
Contribute towards the quality assurance processes of the team
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
Recognised teaching qualification (or working towards or a willingness to achieve one within the first 3 years of appointment)
Driving licence and access to own vehicle to travel across Lancashire essential
