Overview/Job Summary:



We are seeking a motivated, hands-on pub and dynamic restaurant manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth day to day running of a country pub, which is at the heart of our local community.

As the Bar Manager, you will oversee a team of bar staff, maintain stock levels, and ensure compliance with health and safety licensing regulations. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, staff management and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Your salary will be commensurate with your tenure, experience and whether you will be requiring accommodation on site, and key performance indicators are achieved.

Your Responsibilities:



Customer Service:



1. Create a warm, friendly and welcoming environment for all staff, customers and furry friends;

2. Ensure customer needs are met promptly and courteously;

3. Handle customer feedback, complaints and special requests professionally and with respect.

Staff Management:



1. Provide strong leadership and foster a positive team culture;

2. Prepare and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate cover at all times;

3. Recruit, train and develop team members;

4. Address performance issues within the team professionally and in accordance with the employee handbook.

Operational Duties:



1. Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.

2. Assist in all areas of the pub/restaurant when required, including bar, floor, kitchen, cellar and the beer garden(s), including maintenance;

3. Oversee all drinks quality by implementing a robust line-cleaning regime.

4. Oversee all food quality by implementing a quality assurance procedure in cooperation with the Chef.

5. Ensure all health and safety legislation is achieved by a implementing a diligent and rigorous H&S policy;

6. Ensure all pub operations are within key performance indicators and the agreed operating financial modelling.

Stock and Inventory Management



7. Manage stock levels and place orders in a timely manner to meet business requirements;

8. Conduct regular stock takes and minimize waste or shrinkage;

9. Maintain appropriate stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages whilst minimising wastage.

10. In cooperation with the Chef assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of all kitchen facilities and inventory.

Marketing



1. Assist with the online profile presence of the pub to ensure that key customer services are achieved;

2. Take ownership of the pub's local marketing to include and not limited to, events, BBQ's and national holiday events.

Essential Skills:



1. Proven experience in a management role within hospitality;

2. Strong social media and marketing skills

3. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills;

4. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities;

5. A pro-active, hands-on approach;

6. Good knowledge of licencing laws and food hygiene regulations;

7. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Desirable:



7. Personal Licence Holder;

8. Clean Driving Licence

9. Food safety and/or Health & Safety qualifications;

10. Experience with EPOS systems and stock management software;

Key Performance Indicators (KPI's):



1. An agreed KPI bonus will be paid on agreed, achievable and measured KPI's to include but not limited to:

i) Customer Service

ii) Financial Performance

iii) Health and Safety targets

iv) Operational targets

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,000.00-40,000.00 per year
