Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated General Manager or Management Couple to launch a soon to be newly refurbished pub in Belton, Great Yarmouth. The new concept is a community local with a strong-food offering alongside a carvery. The goal is for the pub to become the hub of the community as well as accommodating tourists.

The ideal candidates

Our view - Is that this fantastic site would ideally suite a management couple/family that can in bed themselves within the community. We believe that one half of the couple would be focus on back of house and the other front of house. Being a community local there is a strong focus on pub teams as well as a food offering.

Duties

Supervise daily operations, ensuring that all staff adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes served. Manage a team of kitchen and front-of-house staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Handle customer enquiries and feedback professionally, striving to enhance the overall pub experience. Implement training programmes for new employees on food safety practices, cooking techniques, and customer service standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bar area in compliance with health regulations.

Experience

Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential. Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Previous supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating effective team management skills. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is required. Experience in serving or barista roles will be considered an asset. A background in community-led pub management or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory. Accommodation

This position also comes with a very spacious and well-presented private flat to the first floor, comprising 6 double bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, bathroom, WC and office. All utilities are included except TV licence and council tax. The site is well-positioned in the village of Belton and is only 5 miles from popular seaside holiday resorts and is the only pub in the village with a food offering.
