We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager/Supervisor to assist our manager at The Cock Inn, Hadleigh, Suffolk. The pub focus is on real ales, it's popular with the more mature customers and it's a local community pub that hosts weekly events such as TV Sport, Darts, Bar Billiards, Open Mic & Busker Nights, Live Music and a popular monthly Quiz. There is no food offer. The position can be either part time or full time though if part time the applicant would need to be able to work full time to cover the managers holidays. There is an opportunity to reside on site if required and being a 'high volume' cask ale focused pub, there is some heavy work in the cellar. Ideally if you are not already an Assistant Manager you would be able to step up to the No2 role within a short time. (There is no No2 at the moment and the experience of the successful candidate will determine the job title). The manager is willing to train a suitable applicant in certain areas of the role so you don't have to know everything at outset. We have a lucrative monthly bonus scheme and salary will depend on whether full or part time and your level of experience. CV and covering letter please explaining why you have applied and what interests you about the role.
