Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in the hospitality industry, particularly within hotels and restaurants. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service, and maintaining an exceptional guest experience.

The venue has 17 letting rooms, so experience in the hotel trade would be beneficial.

Duties

Supervise daily operations of the hotel and restaurant, ensuring seamless service delivery. Lead and mentor kitchen staff in food production, culinary techniques, and kitchen management. Oversee food preparation processes to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency. Foster a positive work environment through effective leadership and team-building initiatives. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism to ensure satisfaction. Coordinate with bar-tending staff to maintain high standards of beverage service. Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a managerial role within the hotel or restaurant industry. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary standards. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with health regulations related to food safety and hygiene practices. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing guest experiences. Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or related fields are advantageous.
