Overview

The Public Area Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of public spaces within our facility. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to providing a welcoming environment for guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning methods and a strong understanding of maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and outdoor spaces. Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and well-maintained to meet health and safety standards. Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to maintain high cleanliness standards. Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleaning tasks and seasonal maintenance. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction.

Skills

Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial, or custodial roles is preferred. Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques and equipment. Knowledge of floor care processes, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Experience in facilities maintenance or porter duties is a plus. Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
