The Public Area Cleaner is involved in the efficient cleaning and maintaining of all public areas and offices within the Hotel, doing so in accordance with the specific goals, policies and strategies stipulated. He/she ensures on daily basis that all areas of the Hotel are maintained to a high standard.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
Be an efficient support to the Housekeeping department in cleaning and maintaining the Hotel, doing so in accordance with the company policies and procedures
Maintain the cleanliness of all guest toilets, public guest areas, guest and staff lifts, and offices assigned
Maintain the cleanliness of stairwells within the Hotel
Be able to manage a variety of different tasks at the same time
Help Floor Housekeepers to maintain accurate records in linen inventory, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, lost and found, and with handover
Distribute stores to ensure the cupboards on every floor are stocked, clean and tidy
Relay daily to supervisors any problems that occur whilst working
Respect privacy and confidentiality of all our guests at all times
Ensure that any work assigned on the work sheet during shift is completed in a timely manner
Report any jobs that could not be completed and give reasons, to ensure work is at least completed
Be able to maintain effective communication with Floor Housekeepers. Give clear, concise information at all times
Understand the daily brief each day for tasks, taking special care on instructions and special requirements
Make sure if allocated a spectral link phone, they are switched on before leaving the Housekeeping office, and answer promptly at all times
Know all theoretical and technical aspects of your job and immediate work environment
Attend training offered by the Hotel
Be knowledgeable about the Hotel's facilities, operating hours and services provided
Solve all problems encountered in a responsible and transparent way
Make sure to apply to safety measures indicated in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI)
