As an analyst within the Observatory and Cancer Analysis Team, you will apply a range of statistical and analytical techniques to interpret complex public health data, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with the Code of Practice for Statistics. You will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop and deliver high-quality reports, dashboards, and data visualisations that inform decision-making and improve population health outcomes. You will also engage with users to understand their data needs, translating them into actionable insights through reproducible analytical pipelines and evidence-based recommendations. Responsibilities and Duties Data Analysis and Interpretation Contribute to the development and maintenance of reproducible analytical pipelines. Apply good practice in coding, testing, and version control. Contribute to the development and maintenance of reproducible analytical pipelines. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Present complex data clearly throughwritten reports,presentations, andinteractive dashboards. Adapt communication style to suit technical and non-technical audiences, usingpolitically neutral language. Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Able to comply with accessibility and good practice standards for data visualisation, presentations and writing about statistics, adapting language to the audience, and use clear English / Welsh, that is politically neutral. Understand and can use the appropriate media to communicate findings.
