It is an exciting time to be involved in health, wellbeing, and community support in Doncaster. The Doncaster Growing Together Borough Strategy has set out to change the way that public services deliver community support. Our ambitions are being realised through our inclusion in two national programmes which will test place-based, community-led health and well-being approaches across Doncaster.
We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for improving public health and wellbeing to join our Well Doncaster Team.
The team is passionate about working with communities to improve the health and wealth of individuals, families and communities. We use a range of community centred approaches to address health inequalities across Doncaster. You will work within our communities, with residents and voluntary, community and faith organisations to improve the wider determinants of health. The work is fast paced, evolves to meet the needs of communities and is highly rewarding as we see positive change in the lives of real people.
Our work has been recognised nationally for our strengths-based approach for working with, and for our residents. We are looking for individuals who are experienced in Community Centred Approaches, who can demonstrate a working knowledge of implementing community based public health approaches and has excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Asset Based Community Development and key partners would also be beneficial.
You will have the willingness and ability to travel around the borough to meet the needs of the service / roles.
