Public Liaison Officer

As part of our ongoing growth and commitment to fostering strong community relations, we are seeking a dedicated Public Liaison Officer. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our project teams, cultivate positive relationships within the community, and support the team in achieving excellence in our social value initiatives.

Based on site at our new project at Mold Road, Wrexham . This is a full time, permanent position Monday-Friday

Skills, Qualifications & Experience



Confident and Enthusiastic: Displays confidence and enthusiasm in communication and engagement. Social Responsibility: Passionate about social responsibility and community collaboration. Team Leadership: Capable of leading project teams to achieve employment, skills, and community benefit goals. Networking Skills: Proficient in networking and collaborating with local interest groups and employment schemes. Strong Work Ethic: Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to task completion. Organizational Skills: Highly organized and able to work independently. Problem Solving: Effective problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.

Preferred experience



Customer Service experience. Administration Experience. Experience of working with construction teams delivering social value.

The Role (requires)



Collaborate closely with site management teams to implement plans and address challenges and delays. Report and monitor project community benefit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Prepare and contribute to monthly reports for Management and Clients. Engage and involve the supply chain in achieving community benefits and employment & skills delivery plans to instil a positive community benefits 'culture' within the project. Fulfil Stakeholder Engagement and Public Liaison requirements as necessary. Advocate for corporate social responsibility and charitable work within the community. Draft communication and engagement plans, project newsletters, advanced works notification letters, and update project information boards. Serve as the primary point of contact for project inquiries, ensuring timely issue resolution. Keep all stakeholders informed of work progress and maintain a high level of customer care. Coordinate and attend events such as meet the contractor sessions, careers fairs, and school engagement events. Provide administrative support to the site team. Due to the nature of the role, some occasional and weekend work may be required to attend community events.

Best Practices within the Company



Identify, document, and share best practices and innovative approaches for community benefit delivery plans. Offer project management teams guidance on best practices to achieve targets. Collaborate with the project team to attain a Certificate of Excellence from the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Promote value for money in achieving goals and targets. Cultivate strong relationships with social enterprises, charities, and employment schemes. Liaising with Third Parties. Interact with local authorities and client communication managers regarding community engagement and governmental procurement targets. Establish and cultivate partnerships with local communities and various agencies, including Community Councils, Educational and Employment Providers, Businesses, and Community Groups.
