Our client is a membership and governing body for the Property industry. Due to expansion their Public Relations and Press work is evolving, presenting an exciting opportunity to join a growing team. You will be working in a fast-paced role proactively sourcing stories about the property market and housing policy, supporting the Public Relations, Press and Media Manager to liaise with regional, national, international and industry media outlets.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Develop strong relationships with regional, national, international and sector journalists to deliver impactful coverage of the property sector and the organisations voice within it.
• Drafting reactive comments and proactive press releases.
• Pitching story ideas to the PR Press and Media Manager and national media outlets.
• Respond quickly and sensitively to negative narratives, minimising risk to the organisation\'s relationships and reputation.
• Liaising with media contacts in a structured way (weekly calls, updates etc regarding press campaigns, creative projects, and wider marketing activity).

• Experience of working in the following environments: In house PR or Communications team, PR Agency, or Journalism background
• Demonstratable experience of working with regional or national media
• Knowledge of media cycle including broadcast, print and digital
• Ability to adapt communication style and method based on audience
• Can proactively spot stories and has ability to carry out research to support narratives
• Experience of managing stakeholder relationships
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
