PR Assistant
to help promote our brand, manage media relationships, and support our public image in the community and beyond.
Role Overview:
As a
PR Assistant
, you'll support the business owner or marketing team in creating and distributing press and promotional materials, increasing local awareness, and assisting in the execution of community outreach campaigns, online promotions, and media relations. This is an ideal role for someone with a passion for communications, interior design, home improvement, or local business marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Write and edit press releases, blog posts, and customer success stories.
Help pitch local news outlets, lifestyle blogs, and home design magazines.
Maintain and grow media contact lists and local influencer databases.
Monitor press mentions and customer reviews; prepare reports.
Support planning and promotion of events (e.g., trade shows, open houses, collaborations).
Assist with content creation for social media platforms and email newsletters.
Coordinate with photographers or videographers for portfolio and promotional content.
Help maintain a consistent brand voice across all public-facing materials.

Requirements:
Strong writing and communication skills (clear, concise, professional).
Interest in design, furniture, interiors, or local small business storytelling.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
Comfortable using email marketing tools and social media platforms.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Preferred (But Not Required):
Previous experience or internship in PR, marketing, or communications.
Familiarity with home design or trade industries is a plus.
Experience with tools like Canva, Mailchimp, or scheduling platforms (e.g., Buffer, Later).
Understanding of local media or small business PR best practices.
