We are a specialist book publisher with a strong reputation in our publishing areas: arts, crafts, sports, and motoring. We are seeking a proactive and organised Publicity & Sales professional to increase the visibility, reach, and sales performance of our titles.

This role combines traditional book publicity with hands-on sales activity and is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with authors, retailers, and specialist audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Publicity & Marketing

Plan and deliver publicity campaigns for new and forthcoming books Write and distribute press releases, pitches, and marketing copy Build and maintain relationships with journalists, reviewers, bloggers, influencers, and specialist media Coordinate and support our authors to ensure maximum publicity, including media requests and online promotion Manage and grow social media presence and contribute to website and newsletter content Contribute to overall marketing and sales strategy for the publishing programme

Sales

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including direct-to-consumer, and specialist trade sales Monitor sales data Work closely with editorial and production teams to plan publication schedules and campaigns

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Experience or an interest in book publishing, publicity, or sales Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Confident relationship-builder with external partners and authors Good organisational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working independently within a small team and taking initiative Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing, and basic analytics Interest or background in our subject areas

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year
