Elliott Environmental Drainage Ltd are seeking a skilled Pump Engineer with strong plumbing and pipework experience to join our team. This role focuses primarily on the installation, maintenance, and repair of sewage pumps, including submersible pumps, macerators, lifting stations.
Candidates should also have practical plumbing experience.
Key Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair sewage pumps, submersible pumps, macerators, lifting stations, and pump chambers.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in pump systems, including issues with control panels, float switches, DOL starters, and wiring.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on sewage pumping stations, including cleaning, descaling, and operational testing.
Install and modify pipework, fittings, valves, and associated plumbing for pump and drainage systems.
Assist with plumbing division where required.
Inspect pump pits, wet wells, and rising mains; identify issues and recommend corrective action.
Respond to emergency call-outs for pump failures, blockages, and flooding issues.
Conduct electrical safety checks and ensure all work complies with 18th Edition standards.
Assist plumbing division as and when required.
Produce accurate reports, job sheets, and maintenance records.
Communicate clearly with customers and site personnel, providing professional advice and updates.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience working with sewage pumps and related equipment (essential).
Proficient in installing and repairing pipework, valves, and general plumbing components.

Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of pump electrical control systems (float switches, DOL starters, control panels).
Ability to safely work in confined spaces, pump pits, and wet well environments (training can be provided).
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Skilled in fault-finding and problem-solving in mechanical pump systems.
Full UK driving licence (required).
18th Edition electrical qualification

Confident working independently and managing own workload.
