We have an opportunity for a Punch Machine Operator to join our innovative and diverse team. To be successful within the role, you will need to have good communication skills; a positive can-do attitude; be able to work in a fast-paced industry; and most importantly, be respectful and trustworthy.

As a Punch Machine Operator, you will have a key role in ensuring the machines are continually operational so that production is optimized. Your role will also require you to remove punched out parts from metal sheets ensuring quality control and adhering to production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation and Material Handling:

Set up, adjust, and operate punch press machines to fabricate access panel components according to production specifications. Operate a small pneumatic component press machine. Load materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment for efficient operations. Remove finished parts and transfer them to the next stage of production or storage area.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished components for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications. Use measuring tools to ensure precision in output.

Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance on punch press machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs. Report any malfunctions or needed repairs to the health and safety or production manager promptly.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to reduce safety hazards. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Documentation:

Record production data, including quantities, time logs, and material usage, as required and marking off finished goods on the production list. Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot and optimize processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to access panels or sheet metal fabrication is a plus. Previous experience with operating a punch machine is desired but not essential.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy materials. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What we can offer you:

A salary of 12.21 per hour, which will increase to 13 per hour after successfully passing probationary period. (Usually 3 months).
Time and a Third shift premium (4.07 per hour), increasing to (4.33 per hour) after successful probation.

Performance Related Bonus (PRB) of 216.67 per month - Based on Attendance, Punctuality, PPE Compliance and Housekeeping. Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 4:30pm to 2:30am.
