We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing individual to join our supportive team at Royal School of Dunkeld.



The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting children to thrive as successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens.



We are looking for someone who understands and values the importance of nurturing relationships with our whole school community.



You will work with our children to help them to achieve their best. This includes working closely with teachers, supporting individuals and small groups. With teacher guidance you will deliver planned interventions to support learners to progress. You will also support children at break and lunchtimes, working with children to encourage active play and to supervise and nurture wellbeing.



Please note: While this is a permanent post within Perth & Kinross Council, the specific school placement may change depending on service requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

You will ideally have knowledge and experience of working with children with a range of additional support needs and will be interested in pursuing a career working in an educational environment.



Knowledge of positive behaviour management strategies with a focus on positive relationships would be an advantage.



Experience delivering interventions to support children with identified learning needs would be advantageous.



You will be motivated and interested in child development and keen to work to support children reach their full potential.



You will understand the need for confidentiality and be able to work sensitively to support children and families.



You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively as a team and also to work on your own initiative.



You will have excellent communication skills, a positive approach to working with children and be fully committed to our school values.
