We're recruiting a
Purchase Ledger Assistant
to join a friendly and supportive finance team based in
Banbury
. This is a
12-month contract
offering a competitive salary of
30,000
, ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy and efficiency.
The Role
As Purchase Ledger Assistant, you'll play a key role in the smooth running of the finance department. Your day-to-day will include:
Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
Managing supplier queries and ensuring timely resolution
Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs
Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining accurate records
Supporting the wider finance team with month-end reporting and ad hoc tasks
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Experienced in purchase ledger or accounts payable (minimum 1 year preferred)
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident using Excel and accounting systems (Sage, Xero, or similar)
A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues
Able to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
AAT qualification or progress towards it would be an advantage but is not essential.
